Christina Applegate Beats Breast Cancer

Christina Applegate is now officially one of my favorite human beings.

Christina Applegate (Married With Children, Anchorman) was just diagnosed with breast cancer...but is now cancer free after having a double mastectomy.

"Sometimes, you know, I cry and sometimes I scream and I get really angry and I get really like, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes," she said. "And I think that's — it's all part of healing, and anyone who's going through it out there, it's OK to cry. It's OK to fall on the ground and just scream if you want to."

I was just talking to Shannon Neu (Rock 102 - announcer) and she was telling me that this surgery would probably be the toughest thing for a woman to go through. But Christina seems so fine with everything.

She's going to go through reconstructive surgery over the next 8 months.

"I'm going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90, so there's that. I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I'll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table."

Cary.

my mom was diagnosed with

my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer october 30, 2007 and she had a mastectomy and she'll always be my hero for it. and the way that christina applegate handles a DOUBLE mastectomy with such grace and optimism is refreshing. she's an amazing person.

She is an amazing

She is an amazing woman.

Makes you realize things you think in life as "big deals" are really quite trivial compared to people that have to go through something like cancer

Cheers to Good Health

I think it's really crappy

I think it's really crappy that she was telling Good MOrning America that the only reason she came out with it was because she knew Star Magazine was about to release something and didn't want it to come out that way...

I can't imagine going through something like that.
