iPhone Confusion

The new apple iPhone comes out today...and i was thinking about going to pick one up...now im not so sure after reading some of the reviews.
The problem isnt that the reviews are bad...or even good for that matter. The problem is I cant understand any of them.
"The new apple iPhone 2.0 firmware offers some nice improvements for business users, including Exchange Active Sync Support."
Oh really? How nice. Exchange Active Sync Support you say?! How wonderful. Would you please like to explain to me what that is? Wait. Dont bother. Because as soon as you start explaining it to me...youll confuse me even more.
And forget about talking to a salesman in person...cause that aint happening. Tried that a couple weeks ago at a Rogers store. "Oh really it has that many gigabites hey? What is a gigabite?" Then they just end up looking at you like youre an idiot.

iPhone is a waste of money.
iPhone is a waste of money. Just get a Ipod touch.. They do the samethings other then a phone. and you dont have to pay for the internet like you would for an iPhone.

If you don't know what a GB means you really need to go spend some time at future shop or London Drugs. Every Computerized thing useses the term. But since you're too busy to go out. Giga means billion. so it is one billion bytes.

what is a byte....how much is one billion bytes? sounds like alot of memory. how much stuff can you save with that many bytes. thats what i dont understand. people talk about it like i should know what it means.
bytes..megabites...gigabites...it makes zero sense to me....and about 99% of everyone else.
