No Ban!

I understand why the province is banning booze from provincial campgrounds this weekend. There has been some vandalism in the past on May long weekends. I should point out that I would not be camping this weekend one way or another, but I do have a problem with the ban. First of all, booze is legal and if someone is of drinking age they contribute to the upkeep of provincial parks through their taxes, etc, just as much as the families who want a quiet campground. So why does the family camper's right to use the campground for a peaceful weekend usurp the younger camper's right to go there and party a little? The few rowdies who act like idiots and cause damage, of course, should be weeded out and escorted out of the park. That being said, it's been a long cold winter and I don't see the problem with having drinks around the campfire and maybe turning the music a little louder than usual. The problem is that the province has banned booze in all of the provincial campgrounds which sounds like they want to be my, and your, moral compass. If they open up some campgrounds to the people who want to have a party weekend and keep some campgrounds as "quiet" parks, then I can understand, but when they ban all booze at all campgrounds it makes it a morality call and I don't need the government to tell me I can't bbq a steak and have a beer at a campground.

MAY LONG WEEKEND IS OVER
MAY LONG WEEKEND IS OVER RATED EVERY YEAR
No camping? What did you do
No camping?
What did you do for May long Cary?
Ban!
I agree with you on the moral compass thing, but...that's the way it is right now. ...bbq your steak...have your beer in an unmarked mug...and dont be "the rowdy". You wont have any problems.
