Madonna, A-Rod, and Manllowance

Madonna and A-Rod? Well, maybe. It makes for a great weapon to heckle A-Rod at baseball games. This photo is taken in Toronto at the recent Blue Jays/Yankees game. Funny.

The official founding of the Manllowance Support Group. Ever since my lovely wife Heather put me on an allowance (all the males in the family line up weekly to receive our allowance) I have discovered that lots of men are forced into the servitude of allowance.  It’s humiliating really but because we are not in charge of ourselves we follow along. If you have any thoughts about the Manllowance Support Group post them here. Share your feelings. And, perhaps, your tips for outwitting our wives and getting a little extra money on top of our weekly allotment. For instance, if I go to the Co-op Cafeteria for lunch then it appears on the bank statement as “Co-op” and I can pass it off as groceries which are not the responsibility of my allowance. Heh.

Speaking of men... this is going to be a little uncomfrotable if the bathroom is crowded.

Don't forget Co-op and

Don't forget Co-op and Superstore both have gas stations as well. "Groceries and gas add up to a lot, honey. Necessities, though." Lunch at Co-op. A fistfull of DVDs and computer games at Superstore.

Unfortuneately, aren't these bills itemized? Or does Heather not inspect the paperwork that closely?

Manllowance

Hey Dave,

Here's a tip that has worked for me since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Whenever my parents would send me out to the store for milk or bread, whatever it may be, I would keep the leftover change. Sometimes it was only change from $5, but then there were good days where it would be change leftover from a $20. My parents usually forgot about the change!

This usually left me with a few extra dollars throughout the week. I'm not sure if it'll work for you, but it's worth a try!

I am currently not on a manllowance, but I do feel your pain Brother!

Josh
