Ground Control To Major Tom

Oprah is doing a 2 day event with Tom Cruise.  Part one aired on Monday and I'm just not sure how to feel about this guy.  On one hand, he talks like he has discovered the secret to a happy life and is living the dream.  On the other hand, whenever he is talking all I can think is "you seem normal, but apparently you believe that humans were placed on Earth by space aliens and they will eventually be back to get you".  I'm watching Oprah on the couch being drawn in to this and it reminds me of when the coyote would dress up as another roadrunner to get close to the roadrunner he wanted to eat.  I'd be yelling "look out roadrunner, he's going to unzip that suit and drop an anvil on your head".  He comes across as being so genuine, but you know something just ain't right there.

I think he really believes in what he says.  He loves his children.  He probably loves his wife...in his own way.  I just can't get past the space alien thing.  Can you?  Will it affect your ability to watch him play a character in upcoming movie roles?  I'm not sure either way, yet.
