The Rock And Roll Revival...Amen, Kid Rock! And Akon's Hottie-Ness

Whew. I am beat. 2 nights of big shows and very few hours of sleep!

First, Kid Rock.  I had only minor expectations heading into the evening.  Knew a few Kid Rock hits but wasn't sure how much I would actually dig the show.

ONE OF THE BEST EVER.

Seriously, this guy is talented.  I felt like he was playing to me in my basement.  He OWNED the stage.  Country-Rock-Rap-Blues, all in one shiny-rhinstone-tracksuited-body (yes, I do have a small crush on him now) 

Kid Rock made us all feel great to be there.  It did feel a bit like he was the minister at a giant church.  A church with lots of beer, cougars and funny smells.  Wicked evening of dancing and fun.

Now to Night 2: Wyclef Jean, Sean Paul, Kardinal Offishall and Akon. A complete turnaround from Kid Rock.  Bring the age group down to about 15, lots of skimpy little dresses (including my own) throw in the hottie music stars and voila!  

We had fun last night, too.  Rob, Cary and I hung out backstage for most of the show.

Then, who walks up? Akon!  So we chatted...and even though his "people" said no, Akon was more than happy to hang with us and take some pics.  Special thanks to DJ Fresh, cool guy.

He even took another one, for fear the lighting was off in the first. 
Is he ever ripped! Not a big guy but a strong one. 

My fave part of last night was Wyclef.  He ruled.  Got the crowd all fired up.

Now, I must sleep.
