Stacy And Clinton Know It All

I found a survey today from Stacy London of one of my most fave shows, TLC's What Not To Wear.  Her and Clinton always look wicked.

Things You Should Not Be Putting On Your Body This Summer:

5) Daisy Dukes (unless your name is a "Jessica." Biel, Simpson, Alba, you get the picture)

4) Jean on Jean (or, as one C95 listener put it this morning, The Saskatchewan Tuxedo)

3) Tube Tops (hmmm....read below)

2) Any clingy, cheap material (like my 70's disco costume? What the? I thought I could wear that forever)

1) Bra Strap + Tank Top (no worries for me, I'm barely into my grade 7 training bra)

I agree with almost all.  Except the tube top. I like those, makes me look "fuller".

My co-worker Sheri Ebert sews some of her own clothes.  Or alters things to look hot.  I have no ability in this area whatsoever.  Just yesterday, Sheri walked in with a cute little skirt that was once a full dress she cut up and paired with a cool belt. 

So it got me thinking...how long would it take me to learn to sew?  I took the standard make-your-own-lame-jean-pencil-case lessons in Home Ec but that was eons ago. 

I'm not talking jeans or pants..just some fun summer things.  Summer clothes to me are disposable.  Tank tops get all bent out of shape and styles usually come and go.

I think I'll keep my day job and let Sheri create dresses for me.

Have a fabulous Mother's Day Weekend!  I would blab what I bought mom because it's really cool but she reads this and it must be a surprise.  

We'll announce our Most Embarrassing Mom Story winner tomorrow.  Full day spa at Edgewater Spa, 250 bucks at Day Grow Greenhouse--a sweet present for one mom!  Thanks for all the great stories, I had close to 130 fun entries.

Back to cleaning the house now. It's Thursday, Cleaning Day.  Greys later on.
