A Tom Cruise you've never seen before

There's a bunch of controversy surrounding the new Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downy Jr. movie "Tropic Thunder." The use of the N word and Robert Downy playing an african american have drawn all the attention from Tom Cruise.

Tom has a fairly big part in the film, the producers of Tropic Thunder havn't publisized this because of Tom's reputation. But, those who've seen it say Tom's hilarious, though nearly unrecognizable. Could this be the begining of a Tom Cruise comback or is he to far gone already?
