Coldplay's new album is #1 at iTunes, and people are so amped up on the new release their last album "X&Y" has re-entered the top 10.

"Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" is the full title. But if you don't speak spanish, like me, you could eaily muck that up on the air saying "Viva La Vida or, as it translates, death and all his friends." Thanks to spanish speaking C95 listener Ryan for correcting me.

Viva La Vida does translate to "Long Live Life," you ask me that's a better alternative to Death and his buddies. Chris Martin chose the title after seeing the phrase on a painting by Frida Kahlo who lived with Polio and a Broken Spine yet still believed Viva La Vida.

"I just loved the boldness of it" says Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. He's used to taking flack for ridiculous names, remember this is the guy who named his children Apple and Moses.
