Farrah Fawcett Snubbed from Oscars!

When Rob, Shauna, Rambling Dave and I went through our thoughts on the Oscar ceremonies the other morning, I hadn't heard about this yet. But when someone mentioned it to me, I realized they were correct --- Farrah Fawcett got the snub during the RIP segment of the Oscars last week.
I said the same thing about Heath Ledger last year, only to realize that he had actually made the cut off and was featured in 2008. But not Fawcett! In fact, she died the same week as Michael Jackson, and he was featured in this year's montage.
Apparently, the reason for it is because they have a maximum of 30 people they are allowed to feature and she didn't cut the mustard. I suppose because she was a TV star and not a movie star. However, Michael Jackson was a pop star, not a movie star. I mean, was he in any other movie besides "The Wiz"? Are we saying that Farrah Fawcett wasn't in ONE movie? I know for a fact that isn't true! She was in Cannonball Run for god's sake! She was in Logan's Run! Dr. T and the Women! Man of the House! Extremeties! I can keep going here...
Just because those movies mostly suck, doesn't mean she should be snubbed from the Oscars. I'm sure you could remove some cameraman from the 1930s that has been bedridden since the 70's and let Farrah have her moment. I mean, wouldn't people rather see Farrah (ie - someone they actually recognize) instead of cameraman Shecky Woodwind (fictional cameraman, haha).
What do you think? Am I being too hard on the Oscars or should Farrah have appeared?
