George Thorogood and The Destroyers

The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is pleased to announce that
George Thorogood & the Destroyers presented by Redline Harley
Davidson Buell will be performing on May 21st in a pre-festival bash at
Prairieland Park.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring George Thorogood and the
Destroyers to Saskatoon,” said Festival Manager Kevin Tobin. “We’ve
been trying to bring them in to perform at the Jazz Festival for years,
but dates just never lined up so we thought we would bring the band in
for a pre-festival event.”
Originally formed in the 1970’s, George Thorogood and the Destroyers
have had a long list of hits over the years. Bad to the Bone, Get a
Haircut, Move It On Over and Born to Be Bad just to name a few.
“This concert is going to be a rockin’ good time,” Tobin continued,
“it’s just a taste of what we’ve got in store for the rest of the 2008
Jazz Festival!”
Tickets are general admission and are $40 in advance and $50 the day
of the performance. They can be purchased by calling the Festival Box
Office at 306.652.4700, online at www.saskjazz.com or in person at the Festival Box Office, Suite 701 on the 7th Floor of the Delta Bessborough. This is a 19+ licensed event.
