I love that the apology that they posted really had more to do with trying to convince people to stop eating meat then it did with actually saying sorry for having such a ridiculous ad comparing the gruesome murder of a human being to the slaughtering of animals! And really half of the stuff they say in their reasons why eating meat is so terrible are blatantly not true...there are standards in slaughterhouses and I'm not saying that on occasion some of the regulations aren't overlooked, but generally its pretty strict! And it is a personal choice not to eat meat so comparing slaughtering an animal to a human in order to try and convince people to go vegan is just downright irrational!

I am not a fan of the killing of animals, but I believe we ARE meant to eat them - we wouldn't have canine teeth if we weren't, right?
But I can NOT believe that it has only been a week since "the victim" WHO HAS A NAME - Tim McLean, was brutally and senselessy murdered and PETA would use his horrifying death to promote themselves.
And then put that ridiculous message on an answering machine! lol That's f*cking pathetic.
Ridiculous attempt at an apology...

I don't think any common sense prevailed here.
