Based on the story, The Greatest Gift this holiday classic is retold as a live 1940’s radio broadcast where you become our live studio audience! Complete with live sound effects, old timey jingles and an ensemble cast that bringing dozens of characters to life. Join us as we transport the Persephone Theatre Main Stage back to the time when radio dramas brought families together, to a time before earbuds and cellphones and podcasts, to a time before social distancing.
It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is the warm hug we can’t wait to give our loved ones so until then let’s gather in our community’s living room to see this holiday classic take shape.
Persephone Theatre is closing its doors to the public on December 21st so we can invite staff members of the Saskatoon Health Region to attend our performances of It’s a Wonderful Life. Our goal for this event is to provide a night out for some of our city’s overworked and stressed healthcare providers. We are reaching out to the hospitals, nurses’ union, paramedics and other clinics to let them know about the events.
